- Open WriteShape and choose File → New → Book.
- Name your manuscript, add chapter headings and begin writing.
- Use the chapter outline to move between sections and Focus mode to work on one chapter.
- Download an editable Markdown copy, or export a reading format.
Your browser keeps a draft on this device. Download a separate copy as you work so you have a backup outside the browser.

Keep your editable book as Markdown, or export PDF, Word (DOCX), EPUB or RTF. Choose export options for your document, including whether to preserve the selected writing font.
WriteShape's book mode is for text-only writing. It does not provide image layouts, illustrated-book design or a desktop publishing canvas. Exporting an EPUB also does not publish it to a bookstore.
For dialogue written as a script, use the screenplay editor instead. Google Drive and live collaboration availability is explained on the About page.
